Today is the day... by RosaceaIsNotFun on Thu Sep 22, 2011 7:17 am
The reason for me going for a TCA Peel is simply because this disease has bothered me for too long, and I don't see how it could get any worse. And I also don't have the money for another set of laser treatments. You see, here in Norway where I live everything is stupendously expensive, and as you probably know I am only 17 years of age, and that doesn't really elevate my money income.

I'll make sure to post more when I come back.

My 1st week after being diagnosed w Rosacea by lynn on Tue Sep 20, 2011 3:38 pm
Im a 31 yr old female who generally didnt have any skin problems. I am very social, very outgoing individual. Up until a couple of weeks ago I thought I was on top of the world UNTIL.... i got diagnosed with the reality that i have Rosacea. It is on my chin and oh so very noticeable. I have these weird two lines forming out from my lips down to my chin and inside these lines is roughy flaky red skin. :O At first i freaked out. I cried for 2 days straight and didnt leave my house for the whole weekend. The only place i left to was the pharmacy for my prescription (metrogel) & to macy to get Clinques redness solution 3 step program. (works okay BUT not the concealer stick & foundation_makes my skin even more drier) :-( Now after a full week i am slowly but surely coming to grips...

Facial Seborrheic Dermatisis by RosaceaIsNotFun on Tue Sep 20, 2011 7:34 am
I'm 17 years of age, from Europe, and for the last 2 and a half years I've been set back a great deal not only on the physical aspect, but the psychological and emotional too.

My problem is: Rosacea/Facial Seborrheic Dermatitis on both cheeks and nose, gradually spreading to forehead too. And let me tell you: IT IS EXTREMELY DEBILITATING! The physical attributes of this heinous disease is: Red skin on nose and cheeks, uneven skin complexion, thick skin on nose and both cheeks, oily skin, scaliness and in addition to that I also have hundreds and hundreds of persistent blackheads on my nose. The physical appearance of my skin can change dramatically from day to day, and if I expose myself for cold temperature, warm temperature, specific foods (like: chips, spices), and so on, then matters will only get worse. So I think it's safe to say that I have hypersensitive skin.

Oh, let me tell you: I've been to a whole dozen of clinics, ranging from high to low (starting to loose the count) where...

antibiotics by Vass on Mon Sep 12, 2011 9:16 am
Hi, I am wondering if anyone else had a similar experience with antibiotics? I took LYMECYCLINE (a type of tetracycline) - a very low dosage - first two times for 3 months, now i'm running out as my GP prescribed 1 month's worth only this time. The effect is always the same - DRAMATIC IMPROVEMENT - within 2-3 days only, there is a marked difference. The spots and roughness of my skin disappear almost immediately; redness is reduced visibly. It had spread when i was off the antibiotics (for about 6-8 months), to the sides of my face, almost up to the temples. That redness is gone now; the redness zone has decreased, in other words. Even the redness that remains is paler. But, of course, once i go off the antibiotics, it takes some time and things get back to the same position and then develop further and get worse. I'm not sure if this means anything - the fact the antibiotics have such a dramatic effect? But then i can't be on antibiotics all my life and i worry they might lose their effect...
